Flowers Academy is where we put the study tools we build for clinicians. Every course is free, needs no account, runs on your phone, and works offline. Every answer is explained and cites the source it rests on. Two exam-prep courses are open now, and more topics are on the way.

  • Case-based item sets and structural family maps, as on the real exam
  • 230 flashcards on models, theorists, techniques, assessment, ethics, and law
  • Mock exams at full length (180 questions, 4 hours), half length, or a quick 15

Answers cite the model literature, the AAMFT Code, and the federal law they rely on.

More topics are coming.

The Academy will grow past exam prep into topics clinicians want to understand better. Each new course is built the same way as these two: original, cited, free, and private. New courses will appear here.

How every course is made

The same rules, whatever the topic.

A study tool is only worth your time if you can trust what it teaches and what it does with your data.

Original, and cited

Every question and card is written for the Academy, never copied from a prep company or a real exam. Each answer explains why it's right and why the others are wrong, and cites the primary source behind it.

Private by design

No account, no ads, and no analytics. Your progress is saved on your own device and never sent to us. If you turn on daily reminders, the reminder schedule is the only thing that leaves it.

Made for your phone

Open a course in your browser and add it to your home screen. After the first visit it works offline, so a commute or a waiting room is enough time for a round of flashcards.

Checked, and dated

Laws and exam outlines change. Each course shows when its content was last checked against its sources, and when a course and its source disagree, the source wins.

Flowers Academy is a study aid. It doesn't grant continuing-education credit, it isn't legal or clinical advice, and it isn't affiliated with the BBS, AMFTRB, Pearson VUE, or any professional association.

Made by the people behind Flowers.

Flowers is a Mac app for therapists in training. It keeps your supervised-hours ledger against your board's targets and fills the weekly log your supervisor signs. Hours tracking is free on every plan, forever.
